CONCORDE NEWS......OCKWELLS CARPET PROTECTION FILM...

Ockwells Northern Office was recently asked to look at protecting the carpet on Concorde, which has been based at the Manchester Aviation Park since it retired.

   

Concorde is still a magnificent sight; a piece of aviation history that attracts over 300 visitors each weekend in Manchester that can take its toll on the carpets. We were asked to look at this problem and come up with a cost effective and practical solution to keep the carpets clean.

The centre aisle on Concorde is less than the width of one of our standard rolls so we manufactured a special roll width of carpet protection film to fit. We also engineered a special light weight carpet film dispenser that can be used to apply the carpet film quickly and smoothly by one person.
